WHAT IS TRINITAS?

Trinitas or Trinitas Arts Conservatory or TAC is Rosary Academy and Servite High School’s award-winning after-school theatre arts program that (mostly) takes place on the campus of Servite High School.

There are basically five components to Trinitas:

CONSERVATORY CLASSES - Offered on 18 select Thursdays during the school year from 3:30-6:30p. There are year-long classes (18 class meetings) in Acting and Tech from 3:30-5:00p and electives (3 sessions, Fall, Winter and Spring - 6 class meetings each session) such as Musical Theatre, Stage Management, Make-Up, Costume Design, Monologue and more offered from 5:00-6:30p. At the end of each session, Fall, Winter and Spring there is a showcase for parents, family and friends. Teachers are industry professionals with credits from Broadway, TV, film, regional theatre and more. There are fees for attending conservatory classes ($325-$750). For more information or to register your student, click here.

IMPORTANT CONSERVATORY DATES

Wed, Aug 23 - Last day to register for Early Bird Discount
Thu, Sep 7 - First day of Fall Session

MAIN STAGE SHOWS (PERFORMERS) - In the 2023-2024 School Year there will be a Fall Show (The Diary of Anne Frank), a Winter Show (Blithe Spirit) and a Spring Musical (Hello, Dolly!). Students sign up to audition for these shows and there is a participation fee ($425-$475) as well as a minimum ticket sales commitment (20-30 tickets, approximately $500-$900). There are audition workshops prior to audition dates to assist students who may not have auditioned before and to help prior TAC students prep for the particular show that they are auditioning for. Rehearsals are generally Mon-Wed 3:30-6:30p with some weekend and late night rehearsals, generally during the two weeks leading up to the show. Specific schedules are available here. Conflicts are filled out as part of a student’s audition packet and while we do our best to work with each student on an individual basis, each production varies and conflicts do impact casting. Click on each specific show below for more information.

JUNIOR ENSEMBLE

MAIN STAGE SHOWS (CREW) - Students interested in the technical theatre side of Trinitas fill out applications (when available) and list what crew they’d like to be on. Depending on the show we have opportunities such as deck crew (helping move sets), costume, make-up, lighting, fly rail, audio, stage management, assistant directing and more. There is a participation fee ($165) and a minimum ticket sales commitment (6-10 tickets). Most crew is called two weeks prior to performances during pre-tech, tech and performances, although there is a production meeting for crew heads before tech and some crews need to be called earlier and have a larger time commitment (such as costuming, set crew and stage management). Crew schedule varies show to show. Click here to sign up to receive crew applications when available.

Practices and matches are generally held on select Fridays during the year. To learn more about Comedy Sportz click here.

THESPIAN TROUPE #4566 - Trinitas students can become a part of the International Thespian Society by applying and being inducted as members. Members earn points based on their theatre work at Trinitas and at certain point levels are eligible to purchase letterman jackets and walk at graduation with Thespian Honor Cords. Students are also eligible to attend a yearly Leadership and Tech conference and a yearly CA state festival (additional costs). Once a student joins the Thespian Society there is a fee (currently $110) charged yearly until they graduate. To learn more about Troupe 4566 click here.
